Week 7: Online Discussion Topic 6

Here is the discussion topic:
Statistics show that newly licenced teenage drivers cause a higher number of serious automobile accidents than any other age groups. It is evident that many young people, especially boys, are too reckless and impulsive to be good drivers. In order to protect the larger society, the age at which people can learn their licence should be raised to 20. Do you agree / disagree?

Partners for the discussion:
Pinar Kaynak & Nurcan Bertas
ps. The others can also participate the discussion, but wait till one of the assigned people starts the discussion.

I don`t think so; because accidents are not belong to the age or the sex of people, they are belong to how people trained about driving a car. In my opinion driving lisence should be given at 17 because as we all know non of the teenagers are waiting till the age of getting driving lisence. If the age of getting driving lisence raises to 20 those untrained people who drives without a lisence will increase and that`s why accidents will increase as well. I think to stop those accidents and hearing bad news about our relatives we should train those untrained people about driving a car in the age of 17.
